Last cycle, during my follicular phase, I asked myself a simple question:
“What wants to bloom through me?”
Almost immediately, I felt something shift internally.
There was clarity.
Curiosity.
Imagination.
Creative spaciousness.
That was the moment the rebranding vision for my botanical teas first landed deeply in my body.
What felt important about this experience was that I had actually intended to do this earlier in the year. Mentally, the idea already existed. But creatively and emotionally, the impulse was not fully alive yet.
And that realization led me into a deeper understanding of feminine creativity:
🌺 The Feminine Body Often Creates Cyclically, Not Linearly
We live in a world that largely teaches creation through a more masculine energetic framework:
- Have the idea
- Execute quickly
- Maintain momentum
- Stay productive
But many women do not naturally create this way.
The feminine body often moves through rhythms of:
- Vision
- Conception
- Nurturing
- Expression
- Discernment
- Release
- Renewal
Sometimes the body receives the vision in one season and only feels ready to express it in another.
That does not mean the woman is inconsistent.
It means the creation is moving through a process of emotional, energetic, hormonal, and nervous system gestation.
Last cycle, the conception happened.
This cycle, the launch happened.
That distinction changed how I understand creativity entirely.
Follicular Phase: Vision & Creative Conception
During my follicular phase, I stopped trying to force outcomes and instead became available to inspiration.
I imagined.
I visualized.
I daydreamed.
I explored possibilities without pressure.
And slowly, something began organizing itself internally.
This phase reminded me that women do not only biologically conceive.
We creatively conceive too.
- Ideas
- Businesses
- Art
- Relationships
- New identities
- New visions for our lives
Conception is not always physical.
Sometimes it is energetic.
The follicular phase felt like possibility itself opening.
How to Nurture the Creative Impulse During the Follicular Phase
- Spend more time brainstorming than forcing execution
- Journal on questions like: “What wants to emerge through me?”
- Explore new ideas without immediate pressure to monetize or perfect them
- Surround yourself with inspiration, beauty, music, movement, and novelty
- Allow curiosity to lead instead of rigid productivity
This is often the phase where creative seeds are planted.
Ovulation: Visibility, Magnetism & Expression
Then ovulation arrived during our Womb Awakening Retreat, and I felt the energy shift almost immediately.
Suddenly there was:
- Visibility
- Magnetism
- Expression
- Confidence
- Creative momentum
I wanted to photograph the products.
I wanted to embody the brand.
I wanted to be seen.
And in that moment, I realized something profound:
Ovulation was not where the vision was born.
Ovulation was where the vision wanted to be revealed.
The conception had already happened earlier.
Ovulation gave the creation relational energy — the desire to express, connect, share, and externalize what had already been internally forming.
Two weeks ago, during the retreat, I officially launched:
🌿 CYCLE OF HER 🌿
Botanical Rituals for the Feminine Cycle
And what made the launch feel deeply aligned was this:
I was no longer forcing creation.
I was moving with my body instead of against it.
How to Work With Ovulatory Energy Creatively
- Schedule launches, visibility, presentations, speaking engagements, and collaborations here when possible
- Record videos, create content, and engage your audience more actively
- Lean into embodiment, beauty, sensuality, and self-expression
- Allow yourself to be witnessed instead of hiding behind perfectionism
Ovulation often supports expression, confidence, communication, and connection.
Luteal Phase: Procrastination, Discernment & Nervous System Wisdom
Then the luteal phase arrived.
And honestly, I believe this is where many women silently disconnect from themselves.
Because suddenly, energy changes, sensitivity increases, noise becomes overwhelming, misalignment becomes more visible, and emotional truth sharpens.
This is also the phase where many women experience procrastination, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, or the urge to withdraw.
But lately, I've been asking myself a different question:
✨ What if luteal "sabotage" is not always sabotage? ✨
What if the body is communicating something important?
Through meditation, breathwork, dance, nourishing meals, slowing down, and nervous system care, I began noticing my internal patterns more clearly.
I noticed:
Pressure
Over-productivity
Fear of visibility
Emotional exhaustion
The tendency to push beyond my actual capacity
And instead of asking, "What's wrong with me?"
I began asking:
"What boundary is needed right now?"
That question softened so much shame.
Because sometimes procrastination is not laziness.
Sometimes it is:
Nervous system exhaustion
Emotional depletion
Lack of support
Resentment from over-functioning
Fear of overexposure
The body resisting unsustainable pacing
Even relationally, my luteal discernment sharpened.
I noticed how quickly the body could recognize emotional or sexual misalignment when I slowed down enough to actually listen.
And that taught me something important:
🌺 Sensitivity is not weakness. Sometimes sensitivity is wisdom.
How to Support Yourself During the Luteal Phase
Reduce unnecessary stimulation and over-scheduling
Prioritize nourishing meals and nervous system regulation
Reflect before reacting
Create stronger energetic and emotional boundaries
Focus on editing, refining, organizing, and completing instead of initiating everything new
Replace self-criticism with curiosity
The luteal phase is often where the body reveals what is unsustainable.
Cyclic Mindfulness & Returning Women to Creative Flow
This experience has deepened my belief in what I now think of as Cyclic Mindfulness.
Cyclic Mindfulness is the practice of understanding and honoring the emotional, energetic, relational, and nervous system shifts that occur throughout the menstrual cycle instead of resisting them.
When women begin working with their rhythms instead of fighting them, something powerful happens:
✨ Clarity returns
✨ Intuition sharpens
✨ Creativity softens open
✨ The nervous system feels safer
✨ Self-trust deepens
This is why Menstrual Cycle Awareness is far deeper than hormone tracking.
It is not simply about symptoms.
It is about:
Creative flow
Embodiment
Emotional intelligence
Relational discernment
Self-trust
Learning how to mother our visions with care instead of force
Perhaps women were never meant to create through constant sameness.
Perhaps we were designed to move cyclically.
To conceive in one season.
To nurture in another.
To reveal when the body feels ready.
And perhaps procrastination, creative flow, visibility, and emotional sensitivity were never random flaws to fix...
Perhaps they were always part of an intelligent cyclical design.
